I am a second-year student at Columbia Theological Seminary and am excited to be part of Columbia Presbyterian Church for the next nine months. Before starting seminary last year, I was a Professor of Sociology at the University of South Carolina Aiken for almost thirty years. I grew up in Ohio and received my BA at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, and my MA and PhD at The Ohio State University.  My husband, who is a Professor at Presbyterian College, and I live in Aiken, SC. We have two children: a son who is a senior at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and  a daughter who is a sophomore at Rhodes College in Memphis.  I enjoy traveling, reading, and doing counted cross-stitch when I have time..
